I am a Chartered Counselling Psychologist registered with the HCPC and am also an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society.

I completed my doctorate at Teesside University and am an accredited Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapist.  I worked for 4 years as a senior lecturer on the Doctorate in Counselling Psychology programme at York St John University. I now work in private practice providing psychological therapy to individuals, and also offer supervision to Counselling and Clinical Psychologists.

I use an integrative relational approach to therapy and value the importance of the therapeutic relationship. I work alongside individuals to help them to understand their difficulties and make the changes they want to improve their quality of life.

I have experience in helping people who have experienced psychological trauma and I am interested in the relationship between the mind and body having previously worked within the NHS with those experiencing chronic pain. I have also helped people manage alcohol dependence both individually and in groups.
